[ blood is fine. she's seen worse, but, of course, it's always bad to see it on others who are still living than dead who should be resting. nevertheless, she has her arms folded behind her as she remind herself that he's more than capable of handling himself. ]
I do—like why did you run off?
[ is that something he would do as a teacher? izumo's own experience with teachers are.......interesting, so she won't judge harshly depending on his answer. ]
I suffered the worst of the four, and while I would have appreciated any assistance, I was also concussed and minutes away from collapsing.
[A gesture to himself... to all of him, really, and the fact that he is Big]
So it was imperative for me to leave for an area I would be able to tend to myself without causing further concern.
[Basically, he does not think it would have been wise to pass out in front of an entire group when none could lift him and take him to safety. The chaos would have been ... unmanageable, he believes]
I already knew the other three would be able to manage themselves, as well, and I suspected they knew my reasons for leaving, too.
[ she doesn't like how he is so calm about how badly he's injured but at the same time, she can understand it. it's not as though she makes any kind of fuss whenever she's injured. so instead she'll nod.
it makes sense, and even though she's more than aware of this, she feels as though it deserves reiterating. ]
Regardless, you made a lot of people worried leaving like that. Not everyone came to that conclusion.
[A pause... he thinks of their temperaments, squints, and then makes a gentle guess]
Is it her position as a hero? -- No, specifically, I mean that she is very ... determined to adhere to her own expectations on what being a hero means?
I don't know what all that means to her [ since izumo hasn't properly spoken to her about any of it. ] however I do know she's someone who seems like someone who would make lofty promises and push themselves too far.
I hate the kind of person who just say things without thinking.
[... Mm. Then Chiron thinks he is half-correct, because:]
She has... high expectations of herself and her path in life, though I suspect that will cause her great pain as well. There are some truths she cannot escape -- and heroes are still human. She won't be able to save everyone like she thinks, or perhaps has promised...
[ she listens to what he says and she hums to herself. maybe to someone else this level of light would change things, but for izumo, it just makes certain things more clear for her. ]
The last thing anyone needs or should have to deal are promises that can't be kept.
[ that's just facts for her. save everyone the disappointment. ]
I don't know what it takes to be a hero since I'll never be one myself, but I do know that understanding your limitations will be beneficial to everyone around you. Hopefully she'll learn that sooner than later.
