I hope Alphniaud told you that it's less about the items themselves but what the people who went on them experienced. I haven't seen what they're like myself so I can only make assumptions, but there's something that connects them. Some sort of underlying message or theme between them all.
When I pressed Fox about their "reports" and they didn't remember them, I suggested that I thought that whatever is happening right now might have happened before. It was something that they couldn't say it was impossible.

Which leader did you speak to that confirmed this?
Have you seen the notes that you're looking for yourself? I've only heard of them second-hand and the yearbook is mainly just pictures.
