[It's expected that at least one returnee should be in the first aid station around this time, so Rufus tries his luck there. Lo and behold, he finds Izumo upon opening the door. How does she fare?]
[ well, she's been tended to by chiron who has probably galloped on his way to aid another group of people who might be crawling out of their own cyoa mistakes. her leg will be bandaged up completely to cover up the hole, which is definitely for the better. her forearm is now also, properly splinted instead of diy splinted.
izumo's still probably quietly vibin' as she lets herself just adjust to everything. ]
Not as bad as you'd think but also far worse than I can imagine.
[ which...is. a description? look, some things hurt a lot while other things don't hurt at all? (cries in over the counter painkillers.) she's kind of concerned about the latter than the former but, you know. ]
[Chiron did mention prescribing painkillers. But Rufus knows that they can only do so much on their own, and so he reaches into his pocket and pulls out the unlabeled pill, wrapped in a napkin, from their arrival to offer Izumo.]
[ WAY TO COME OFF AS A TEACHER RUFUS!! ...anyway here is her ""account"". ]
If you want to consider what Tiger said about how the events don’t actually matter as much as the experiences themselves, then I would say that it feels more or less as an echo of the Leader’s memory than a strictly memory. We—Kageyama, Ange, and Hua Cheng, and I—were brought to a forest where we came across a machine that attacked us. However, we found a map that lead us to this sword here.
[ cue izumo gesturing to the sword at her side. is it important? who knows. ]
After touching the sword, we, I’m assuming, were shown an impossible world something that meant something to each of us. But, like I said, it was impossible, so it was just a dream and the world began to break around us. From there we brought to a compound where we were attacked by robots that eventually lead to a portal where we escaped.
[ there are still details that she’s glossing over but they’re not…important. probably. ]
The most important thing was that Kageyama found a note that detailed about the previous time that this happened. It made it clear that we have to kill in order to save everyone. The time before us—they weren’t able to save everyone—so they decided to repeat this all over again.

Take this as a supplement.

What is it?
no subject
It's the pill we received on arrival. It will further mitigate the pain.

[ she'll take it from him and kind of hold it. does izumo know how to dry swallow a pill? hm. ]
...thank you.

Rufus is already moving to get her a cup of water, which he hands to her next.]
Where did you go?
no subject
I'm not entire sure where I "went" but more of where I ended up being. [ ... ] It was probably linked to one of the leader's memories somehow.

Have you noticed anything strange about the sword since returning?
no subject
The sword has healing abilities, but that's about all that I've noticed about it.

That's the plan. I know I might look to be the obvious choice, but we have no idea what lies ahead.
