[There's the faintest yip as Rupe is kicked away. It's deathly quiet in the planetarium after that. Rufus just makes a face where he stands, perhaps unsure of where to even begin.]

[He stares, just to drive whatever this is home, before crouching down and picking Rupe up to hold in front of his chest.

At least Rupe looks fine. Dangling from Rufus' hands doesn't seem to bother him at all.]

[ somewhere deep (not that deep) down inside of izumo is weeping like a small child because it's so cute and she was a monster that kicked it. also what's the deal with rufus handling something so cute like that? she would almost yell at him if she wasn't trying to contain herself. ]

[Compared to kicking, this is nothing.

Rupe's visible eye almost seems to glow in the dark with how brightly pink it's colored.]

[ most people should be turned off by something with glowing eyes but most people isn't izumo as she quietly takes it in. it looks slightly demonic in nature... is it his familiar? (it's so cute.) ]

Huh? [ she'll stop (fawning) looking at rupe for a moment as rufus' answer sinks in. ] How could you not remember?

[Judging from Rupe's easiness around Rufus, it at least looks like he still remembers his master.]

[Her timing is impeccable. As soon as she thinks about petting Rupe, Rufus sets him down. Now her hand has to chase after the critter in the dark.]

Instead of hiding, they might just not be aware.

well, she's going to try to be stealthy as she hunts for rupes in the dark. will he react to hand movements?? ]

So they say, but I'm not going to rule it out.

[Even though she just kicked him, he'll probably indulge her hand with a look if it comes close.]
