I would call it less a rule and more of a condition, but what I know is that two members from each team must kill in order for the Removed to be revived.

I will gladly fill in the roll of a victim if it means he will spared. I know for a fact that my team would not go out of their way to hurt him, but I don't know about others.

Losing someone isn't unfamiliar to anyone, especially to anyone here. Everyone has lost someone and I don't think myself any more special above anyone else, but just once—I want to be given the idea that I could protect someone precious to me.

[ It's not pointed. It's only a question she wants to know Izumo's answer to. In truth, Jeanne's done much to hurt the people she cares for in order to do what she thinks is necessary, in order to do what she thinks she must.

There is more than one way to do something and to protect than offering your life, Izumo. Do you treasure his life more or his feelings?

[ jeanne's final question to her has her thinking for a while. his life or his feelings? are those different things that she needs to consider? if he isn't alive then his feelings will become just like another memory... her words are firm when she replies, though there's an edge of desperation to it. ]

I treasure him. [ her treasures. how many of those does she have left? ] It's not like I want to be separated from him, but if that's what needs to happen to make sure that we do what's necessary and protect him? Then I'd do it.

Feelings are never so clear cut or so easy to separate, so she won't point out how Izumo knows people will come back, if everyone can manage to coordinate things correctly.

Loss is still loss, not matter how it comes and no matter how long it lasts. ]

If you treasure him, please talk to him about it.

I do like that about him. It is good to think flexibly, if you can. So long as he doesn't completely close himself off or run away from what's in front of us, I think it's fine.

[ It's one thing to see what they need to do and still try and find another way, and it's another thing to completely shut your eyes to the necessity in front of you without any consideration.

Supposedly he's a strategist and I wouldn't think anyone who considers themselves a strategist being someone who could only think in fixed ways.
