Well, yeah, but it's probably another Realm thing, right? Something to do with the nova, like when those things on the scavenger hunt just disappeared?

I guess we could always ask the leaders, but it sounded like they were learning as they go, too, same as us.

Understanding what is going on here is important. The more we know the better it will be over all.

I never said we shouldn't try to understand it. But we can do that and still enjoy it a little, can't we? There's no reason we can't do both.

Mm... It might take a while to figure out, though. The leaders have a better chance of figuring it out than we do, but they still seem pretty confused.

Not all of it, but they do have a leg up on us, don't you think? They were here longer, and the Realm talks to them, not us. Sure, we can help as much as we're able, and I definitely want to, but it's hard to tell how much we will be able to.

Anyway, the leaders have mentioned disturbances with the nova before. Resolving the one from what Viridian-san did must have triggered a bigger one than the lost items we saw before.

In a way, isn't that a good thing? —collecting big novas. It's what they say that we need to do. Collect enough nova and then we'll be gone.

Yeah, exactly! That's why I don't think it's a bad thing if we make the make the most of the changes while we figure everything else out, you know? It's one step toward the way home.

Time will tell if they're actually going to keep good on that promise or show us just what it'll cost us.

Mm... maybe both. Winning the competition would mean saving our memories, right? In theory, anyway.

I don't care about this competition. I only care about what's behind all of this.

We all care about that... But if we really do get wishes if we win, why not take advantage of it?

If the wish comes with that high of a cost, I don't want it. Besides, I wouldn't make use of my wish.

[ she goes quiet for a moment to consider that. izumo does have a point, but... well, even if it does come at a high cost, ochako can't imagine letting a wish, if it's real, go to waste.

but she won't argue that point. she can't fault izumo for sticking to her principles - it's kind of admirable, really. ]

Huh... I kind of envy you for that. The entire reason I wanted to become a hero is... kind of selfish, in a way, so if the wish is real, I don't think I'd be able to say no to using it to make that happen.
