Shiro, for his part, has just finished a meal and is trying to decide what to do with his day. Spend more time figuring out what's going on? Or get to know the people here more? Decisions, decisions.

well there goes any kind of talk she might have said because as soon as he calls her out like that—there it goes. all of it. she has lost any kind of composure and is not just sputtering at the nickname. ]

That means a Tamer for the Order, doesn't it? I already saw one of your classmates here too, so it's not surprising for there to be two of you.

right her profile. no one else has pointed that out to her yet so she has been hoping that no one would mention it, but his assessment confirms two things for her. she just nods to begin with. ]

[ tho one of them is a paladin (who is supposed to be dEAD but&mdash) and isn't that comforting as all hell. ]

[ honestly, she wasn't going to trust anyone claiming to be a priest but that's just her (izumo doesn't trust anyone—BESIDES THE POINT.) it's nice to know that shiro did the researching, regardless. ]

[ she'd say some comments about shima as well but she's not about to bring that up. it'll...complicate things and the last thing she wants is to muddle the waters and further than they have already been. ]

Oh yeah, that much is clear. This is definitely the work of a demon.

Just remember: keep up appearances while we figure out what's going on. I'm pretty sure something happened to everyone here anyway, since they all could see the very obvious demons in the group. But it's better not to scare them with the truth of the situation.

[ she'll nod along. as if she's going to refute anything he's telling her; however, there is something that she wants to know. a terrible feeling that she can't shake— ]

[ she isn't entirely sure what all shiro was able to do outside from what she heard, but being a paladin meant that he should have at least one, right? it made sense—taming was one of his skills, after all. ]

[Shiro is absolutely getting some of that astronaut food, because yes. But in his quest for said food, he's going to come across Izumo because fate has decided they're both in the cafeteria.]

[ she'll give a look over to what he was doing and looking back to him. ]

Nah, I already know what this stuff tastes like. I'm just looking for the ice cream ones, those ones are good.

[He is totally passing up the dried food, though. He is here for one thing, and that is ice cream.]

They're a bit weird for me.

[ laughs at the duality of the threads that are being done right now. but, izumo will take her time in consideration about what she wants to say next. rather, there is something that comes to her that she wants to bring up and... hmm. ]

I've never met you personally before now, no. But you go to that school, don't you? So odds are, we would've come across each other eventually. It's just that the school year hasn't quite started yet, so we haven't had the chance. At least not from my perspective.

...True Cross Academy? You're going there to be a Tamer, yeah?

[ i have no idea where they are but izumo is just kind of...half staring into the distance and half looking for shiro because... he covered for them. he knew didn't he? he suspected it.

izumo—she... it was surreal to watch it all. god she won't even know what to say when she spots him. ]

[He absolutely figured it out, or at least he had his suspicions, which was why he tried to cover for them. But he failed, at least partially, which is why they are where they are now.]

[ as soon as he stepped in for her hands not to be imprinted everything was just so much and now this apology?? she just...doesn't know. even as her mouth keeps going. ]

It's fine. [ she thinks? she has no idea what she thinks. ] He killed someone and—

He did, yeah.

...you don't have to answer, but I'm going to say what I think: I thought it was both of you. I thought he killed Laine and you killed Raven. That's how the two murderers were able to move around the same locations without confronting each other: you both know each other, and you could tentatively work together if needed.

That's why I stepped in. I thought they would get you with the fingerprints before they figured out it was him, and I didn't want either of you to be executed. So I tried to make those last 40 minutes murky.

I didn't though. [ .... ] I know I don't want to play their game and I don't care about this competition but I wouldn't unless there was some reason that I couldn't refuse.

[ and...much longer as she tries to reason this through. if they both had murdered, would it be fair for shiro to die? would that really sit well with her? it already feels disgusting enough as it is. ]
