Kano has just pilfered Izumo's kimono and stashed it in his room and is very very pleased with himself, humming tunelessly as he comes downstairs, absolutely soaked through and dripping wet, he did not even both wringing out his clothes when he got out of the river, his boots are five pounds heavier with water. ]

[ stares into the far off distance because even if Kano feels the urge to be affectionate he would sooner cut off his own hand than to reach out to somebody else.

That does not stop him from slowing down halfway up the stairs because he figures that if Izumo clobbers him, that is also good too ]

Kano jealously guards his personal space and Izumo getting into it has him backing off- though there's not really anywhere to go in the middle of the stairs, so he just ends up hitting his feet on the back of the step and managing to climb just one further before his own arm anchors him like a traitor. ]
